On Friday, April 11th, Ocean City Intermediate School’s 5th Grade students celebrated the completion of the L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence) program with a special graduation ceremony held at the EHT PAL Center.
Over the past 10 weeks, students participated in lessons focused on making positive choices and preventing drug use, violence, and bullying. The program, in partnership with the Ocean City Police Department, empowers students with the knowledge and confidence to navigate difficult situations and build a strong foundation for future success.
Graduation day was filled with exciting activities, including demonstrations from the OCPD Drone Unit, OCPD and EHTPD K9 Units, Cape May County SWAT Team, and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Robot Team and Crime Scene Investigation Unit. Students also enjoyed games with OCPD staff, as well as pizza and ice cream — a well-earned reward for their dedication throughout the program.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Ocean City Police Department for their continued partnership and commitment to our students, and to the EHT PAL Center for hosting us at their outstanding facility. The experience was both educational and memorable for all involved!
