Welcome to the Ocean City Intermediate School. I am honored and excited to be joining the OCIS family and to begin working with our amazing students, teachers, staff, parents and community. Across the district, we have a “commitment to excellence” and I look forward to partnering with you to reach this goal.

The Intermediate School is the home to students in 4th through 8th grades that reside in Ocean City and Sea Isle City. Students within our school have the opportunity to participate in a variety of academic course offerings along with co-curricular and extracurricular clubs throughout the duration of the school year. Academically, our programs are rigorous and aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, ensuring that students are challenged and engaged. We emphasize real-world connections and relevance within our curriculum, preparing our students to thrive throughout their future endeavors while assisting them for their transition to High School.

Our teachers and staff place a strong emphasis on respect and hard work while creating dynamic lessons within all classrooms. Our goal is to create an environment that is safe and nurturing while encouraging and reinforcing positive growth in social/emotional behaviors and attitudes. Each month, students and staff focus on our core values of responsibility, respect, cooperation, integrity, friendship, trust, fairness, and courage. These values are emphasized within our “Character Keys” initiative and students are recognized for demonstrating behaviors that reflect these characteristics throughout their daily interactions.
