01/31/2025 Morning Announcements This is the final call for submissions for the literary magazine. Please send any art or writing submissions to Mrs. Scioli or your English teacher by the end of the weekend to be considered for inclusion in this year's edition of the Speakeasy. The Intramural Table Tennis tournament will now be on Wednesday the 12th of February. Forms are outside room F107. Fill one out and return it to Ms. Kelly. GO BIRDS!! Attention all potential Freshmen baseball players. There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday February 6th during either flex A or Flex B in Room C107. See Mr. Bristol if you have any questions. Congratulations to Dale Curtis, Liam Zintner and Jude Govern for winning the 3v3 Intramural Club Basketball Tournament. Please listen for other announcements for future events!!! Congratulations to the relay team of Rachel Stauffer, Abby Hays, Holly Aiken, and Ryan Cooke for breaking the 200 Medley Relay school record last night at the CAL Championships. The relay earned a silver medal with a 2nd place finish. Congratulations to Rachel Stauffer for breaking the 100 Butterfly school record last night at the CAL Championships. Rachel earned a bronze medal for her 3rd place finish. Congrats to Todd "TJ" Smith on his performance in New York City last night. TJ broke 6 minutes in the mile, running a personal best 5:57. He even did the griddy on his second lap around the track. Great job TJ!!! Congrats to the girls track team on their performance at the Metropolitan Invitational in New York City last night. We placed 5 girls inside the top 10 of the mile. Maeve Smith ran 5:06, Chloe Care and Carly Godfrey both ran 5:08, Riley Tolson 5:16 and Lily Flora 5:17. Peighton Clemens and Lenna Driscoll also broke 6 minutes in the mile, running 5:41 and 5:47. Ella Miller broke her own 55 meter school record for the 4th straight meet. Special congrats to Riley Greenling, who placed 2nd overall in the novice division of the mile, running a personal best 6:10. 12/17/2024 Morning Announcements You are invited to our first annual East Coast Strong Winter Wonderland hosted by NHS this Friday in the cafe. Crafts, games and treats will be set up for a small fee. Cash and Venmo accepted and ALL proceeds benefit Hurricane Relief. There will be a softball meeting today Flex A&B in the woodshop for anyone interested in playing this year. Today, the Classics Club will be performing Christmas songs in English and Latin at the Ocean City Coffee Company on 9th and Asbury today from 3:30-4:00. Stop by for a refreshment and throw a coin into our humble tip jar. Extra lyric sheets will be available for anyone who would like to join us.

The Wellness Center's annual Gingerbread House Decorating contest will begin on Monday 12/16. Teams must register in advance using the link posted on the Schoology Homeroom page. Hey Raiders! This December, CLA is holding a Pet Shelter Drive. Students can bring in canned foods, blankets, toys, pet tags, collars, or leashes to their Homeroom teacher. All donations will be collected on December 19 for the OC Humane Society!

12/09/2024 Morning Announcements The OCDT Holiday show is right around the corner!! Friday Dec 13th@6:30 the dance team & OC dancers will be performing in the 3rd annual show. You don’t want to miss this hip hop holiday show!! Tickets are $5 for students & $10 for adults at the door. o show support for the dance team and their show, wear your favorite tutu to school on Friday the 13th. Look for a dance team member, we may have some tutus to spare! Hi Raiders! Class Council 2025 is hosting a clothing drive to collect clothes for those in need this holiday season! Be sure to bring your items to your 8th period class! Collection will end on the 19th! Let’s help those in need this holiday season! Interact Club is running their yearly ChapStick drive for the military. Please drop unused ChapStick in the boxes wrapped in wrapping paper.
