A Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) is a state-mandated, district-level, parent driven group charged with providing input to the OCSD on system-level challenges in special education and related services. The group is parent organized, parent driven, and parent led.
Anyone with a student or students eligible for or receiving services under an IEP or 504 plan or interested members of the school community can attend.
The OCSD is looking for interested parents and community members to join and lead this important parent group.

Did you know that Ocean City School District offers a vital service called Project Child Find?The mission of Project Child Find is to ensure that all children ages 3 and up with delays or disabilities are identified, located and evaluated in order to receive early intervention supports or special education services. The Ocean City School District, in collaboration with Mainland Regional, Greater Egg Harbor Regional, Egg Harbor Township, and Cape May County Special Services school districts, will be hosting their first Cape Atlantic League (CAL) Unified Sports 5K Run & Walk on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024. The route will begin at the Transportation Center at 9th Street and Haven Avenue in Ocean City, travel the length of the Route 52 causeway, and end at the John F. Kennedy Park in Somers Point. Proceeds from the 5K benefit the CAL Unified Sports program, fostering inclusivity between our special education athletes and their peers.

Week 3 of OCIS summer programs wrapped up with many fun events for the students! They had the opportunity to make lemonade, practice handstands, and the summer STEM program even visited the Woodbine Airport. What an eventful and exciting week for students and staff!
OCIS officially wrapped up week 2 of the summer programs! Students in the Summer 21st Century Challenge Program enjoyed a visit from the Margate Terrapin Rescue Project to learn about the importance of conservation of local wildlife. The group can't wait to see what's in store for the upcoming week!
