The Board Buildings and Grounds Committee is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and improvement of school district facilities and outdoor spaces. This committee reviews facility needs, monitors capital projects, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and makes recommendations to the full Board regarding infrastructure improvements, repairs, and long-term planning. This committee’s goal is to maintain a safe, efficient, and supportive learning environment for students and staff.

Curriculum and Student Affairs
The Board Curriculum and Student Affairs Committee is responsible for reviewing and recommending curricular initiatives that enhance student learning and academic opportunities in the district. Additionally, this committee provides oversight on confidential student matters within the Board’s purview and works with district leadership and the community to uphold high educational standards that cultivate student success.

District Communications
The Board District Communications Committee contributes to a transparent, inclusive, and informed school community by ensuring open, clear, accessible, and effective communication among the Board, staff, students, parents, and the wider community. This committee promotes the values and goals of the district through timely and accurate dissemination of information, active listening, and responsive engagement. By leveraging diverse communication channels, this committee aims to build trust, encourage collaboration, and support the academic and personal growth of every student.

Health and Wellness
The Health & Wellness Committee is dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, and healthy learning environment for all students and staff and operates as it relates to public health emergencies, extended school closures and/or traumatic school events. Under these circumstances, the committee will focus on promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being through proactive policies, health education, access to resources and public safety. The committee ensures a holistic approach to well-being in our schools by collaborating with educators, healthcare professionals, and the community.

Negotiations
The Board Negotiations Committee fosters open, transparent, and respectful communication among all stakeholders throughout negotiation processes in the spirit of cooperation, mutual respect, and working together toward shared goals. Its mission is to prioritize agreements that will enhance the educational experience and outcomes for all students; advocate for the well-being, professional growth, and fair treatment of the district’s educators and staff members; and ensure that every decision supports the district’s commitment to excellence in education.

Policy
The Board Policy Committee works with the Superintendent and Administration to modify, develop, and implement policies that align with federal and state laws, while acting in the best interests of the school community. Board policies are adopted by the Board of Education and provide direction for the overall operation of the school district.
