Top Summer Programs For High School Students
There is a growing minority of selective summer programs that select high achieving high school students strictly on the basis of merit. A number of these programs are offered for free or at relatively low costs, and will prove an impressive addition to your college application.

Summer Discovery 
Pre-college and middle school enrichment programs and teen tours can be found at Summer Discovery. The 3-6 week Musiker Discovery Programs are for students in grades 7-12 and offer a variety of programs and opportunities such as camping in Alaska to European adventures. The enrichment programs include programs at UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, Michigan, Georgetown, UVA or Cambridge.

4 Star Camps
4 Star Camps brings young people together from literally the world over. People from fascinating and diverse ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds spend their summer abroad at our summer camp. Diversity and international flavor are important elements of the camp. Located on the beautiful and historic grounds of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville since 1975, 4 Star has diligently been striving to provide students the high quality instruction and programming that is expected as part of the 4 Star Experience. Experience Notre Dame This Summer
Stimulate your spirit. Exercise your mind. Participate in Notre Dame's Summer Experience. Summer Experience is a unique opportunity for academically outstanding high school students to explore one of nine academic fields of study. For two weeks, participants become part of the Notre Dame student body, through their academic studies, social interactions, and spiritual encounters.

University of Delaware Edge Summer College Program
The Edge summer college program offers academically talented and motivated rising high school juniors and seniors from around the world an opportunity to live and learn on one of the most engaging college campuses on the East Coast.

Boston University High School Honors and Summer Challenge Programs

  • High School Honors is a six week residential program that allows students to register for two summer college courses. Students must be a junior and 16 -17 years of age.

  • Summer Challenge Program is a non-credit residential program for students 14-17 years of age. They choose seminars such as creative writing, law, persuasive speaking and more. Call 617-353-1378 for more information.

Rutgers Summer Reading Skills Program

  • This summer, help your child become a confident, enthusiastic reader. Summer Reading Skills Programs are offered by the Rutgers University Division of Continuing Studies and designed and taught by instructors from the Institute of Reading Development. Programs are offered in Cherry Hill, Jersey City, Scotch Plains, South Orange, Teaneck,

    Union and On-Campus.
